The laboratory carries out tests and diagnoses of motor vehicles to control the correct operation of individual vehicle assemblies and systems, in particular in terms of driving safety and environmental protection, i.e .:
- technical condition of wheels and tires,
- the correct operation, setting and light properties of external lights, including the correct operation of signaling devices and electrical installations,
- technical condition, effectiveness and uniformity of brake operation,
- correct operation of the steering system, the technical condition of its connections and the amount of idle movement of the steering wheel, including the correct positioning and fastening of road wheels,
- technical condition of the suspension,
- technical condition of the body, chassis and their accessories as well as accessories,
- the technical condition of the exhaust system, including measurements of the external noise level while the vehicle is stationary,
- emission of gaseous pollutants and exhaust smoke.

The transit test and measurement station in a room with dimensions of 15.00 × 6.00m is equipped with:
