He graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Rzeszów University of Technology in 1986. In the same year he started working at the Motor Vehicle Exploitation Department. He obtained the PhD degree in technical sciences (scientific specialization - internal combustion engines) in 1996 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aviation of the Rzeszów University of Technology. In this regard, he published about 170 works and participated in nearly 30 research works.
